Taking care of your health – physical, mental, and emotional
15–21 June marks Men’s Health Week, an annual campaign dedicated to raising awareness of the physical and mental health challenges facing men and encouraging positive action.
At 360 Wellbeing, we believe that good health shouldn’t be something we only think about when something goes wrong. Men’s Health Week is an opportunity to start conversations, break down barriers, and remind men that looking after their health is one of the strongest things they can do.
Why Men’s Health Matters
Men are often less likely to seek help when they’re struggling, whether that’s with their physical health, mental wellbeing, or the pressures of everyday life.
Many men delay seeking support because they are busy, unsure where to turn, or simply don’t feel comfortable talking about what they’re experiencing. Unfortunately, this can mean that health concerns are left untreated for longer than necessary.
The good news is that small actions can make a big difference. Checking in with yourself, speaking to a healthcare professional, being more active, or reaching out for support are all positive steps towards better health and wellbeing.
Looking After Your Physical Health
It’s easy to put off appointments or ignore symptoms, especially when work and family life are demanding. But preventative healthcare is one of the best investments you can make.
This Men’s Health Week, consider:
- Booking a GP appointment if something has been bothering you
- Scheduling routine health checks
- Becoming more active, attending a workout or class
- Prioritising sleep and recovery
- Making small, sustainable improvements to your diet
Remember, you don’t have to overhaul your lifestyle overnight. Consistency is often more important than perfection.
Mental Health Is Health
Mental health is just as important as physical health, yet many men still find it difficult to talk about stress, anxiety, low mood, or burnout.
Life can be challenging. Work pressures, financial worries, family responsibilities, and everyday stresses can all take their toll. Seeking support isn’t a sign of weakness – it’s a sign of self-awareness and strength.
If you’re struggling, talking to someone you trust or accessing professional support can make a huge difference.

Start With One Small Step
Men’s Health Week isn’t about making huge changes overnight.
It’s about checking in with yourself.
It’s about knowing that support is available.
And it’s about recognising that taking care of your health – physical, mental, and emotional – benefits not just you, but the people around you too.
This week, why not take one small step towards better wellbeing? Whether that’s getting more active, speaking to a professional, or simply exploring the support available to you, every positive action counts.
Because looking after your health isn’t a weakness.
It’s one of the strongest things you can do.
